A switch on a Kedem holds more than one assignment.
The actions are one press, double press, long press and double long press, each with a release action of its own. That is eight per switch.
On the Kedem 6, two switches also combine, which adds 15 combinations to the 6 switches in a bank. Each preset carries up to 30 MIDI messages.
Two things follow from this in practice.
A misfire is usually an action boundary rather than a fault. A long press read as a press, or a release firing when it was not meant to, points at how the assignment is laid out rather than at the switch.
When reporting switch behaviour, name the action as well as the switch. “Switch C, long press release” is a report. “Switch C does not work” is not.
