Kemper units take Program Change for rig recall and Control Change for stomps, effects and performance control, over 5-pin DIN.
Two structures catch people out.
Browse mode and Performance mode do not address rigs the same way. A Program Change that recalls the rig you expect in one mode selects something else in the other.
The Profiler Player is not the Profiler with fewer buttons, and its MIDI implementation differs. Say which unit you have.
Kemper publishes a MIDI parameter documentation set, and referencing the CC number from it makes a report checkable.
